Enoteca Regionale del Barolo is not a store, at least not in the common understanding of the term.
Sure, we are a permanent display of Barolo, of different vintages, from over 220 producers. However, we prefer to call ourselves the "place" of Barolo, where we have the ambition to accompany anyone interested in discovering or deepening the world of the king of wines through the point of view of their palate, because our approach is not strictly commercial and this allows us to operate without conditioning.

With us, Barolo becomes an experience that goes beyond the glass.
Quality wine does not come about by chance, nor is it the result of exasperated technique, but it is the synthesis of past, present and future, because it cannot disregard the grape variety and the environment in which it is produced (which has an origin in the past), the vintage of the harvest (which is the link with the present) and aging (which sometimes is limited to a few months and sometimes can extend for years).
Appreciating a quality wine means listening to its "voice" starting from the moment it is poured into the glass: each one, in fact, produces a different "sound" that defines and characterizes it at the same time, and whether it is a concert of notes still in the making or whether we can already perceive its harmonious and perfect melody, what it communicates to us is the first real sensory impression of tasting.

Here then are its colors, its scents and its flavors inviting us to see, smell and taste the sensations that speak of its history, its current condition and its evolution, and how the producer has been able to make it a wine that has the extraordinary ability to put everyone in agreement, because even the less trained palate, which may be less familiar with translating all those perceptions into words, knows how to recognize the pleasantness of a good wine ... and appreciate the excellence of the gluttonous suggestions that the short supply chain of our territory suggests.

Inaugurated on 5 July 1986, the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco works to promote the wine production of the area, representing today the Barbaresco of 148 wineries. The promotion and enhancement of Barbaresco DOCG and the territory it is expression of is the main commitment of the Enoteca and takes place not only through the organization of events, such as Barbaresco a Tavola and the Weekends of Piacere Barbaresco, but mainly through the daily tastings activities. The daily relationship with visitors in the unique venue as the church that hosts the Enoteca, is a very key moment in the promotional purpose made possible thanks to the opening 7 days a week and the qualified and motivated staff.

In the Enoteca you can buy the Barbaresco of the entire production area, grappa and a lot of gadgets.

Wine, the driving element already promoted by the Enoteca Regionale, is flanked by the typical products of farms in this area such as hazelnuts, cugnà, vermouth and chinato: a project that helps to enhance the products of the supply chain. This increases the offer of selected local products, which, in combination with the historical variety of reference (Nebbiolo), create a surprising synergy.

The Enoteca Regionale del Roero brings together the main wine producers of Roero, characterized by excellent growth and a developing reputation of the products at an international level. The promotion and enhancement of Roero and of the territory takes place through the organization of events and tastings.

The Enoteca is located in Canale (CN) within the former Asilo Infantile “Regina Margherita”, a 20th-century complex, carefully restored. Upon entering the courtyard, guests are instantly welcomed by the coat of arms of Roero that stands out on the grand wrought iron gate: the motto “A’ bon rendre” (which means “good to go back to”) will immediately put everyone who passes in front of it at ease. The building has a peculiar “U” shape and houses a wine store, the “Roero Turismo” tourist office and the Osteria dell’Enoteca on the ground floor. Guests are mainly offered the wines of the territory for tasting and sale: Roero and Roero Arneis DOCG, Langhe Favorita, Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, Birbèt, as well as typical products and grappas. The Enoteca is also active in the organization of cultural and promotional events and activities.

The Enoteca Regionale del Roero houses “LA BIBLIOTECA DEI SAPORI DEL ROERO 2.0”, a “local library” that the public can make use of to embark on a journey to discover not only the local products, but also the people and the work put in every day to produce these high-quality products.

History, culture, landscapes, food and wine treasures: the most authentic essence of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato hills encapsulated in a place that has been a vigilant guardian of the territory for over a thousand years. The Castle of Grinzane Cavour, home to the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dominates with its beauty and unmistakable architecture the breathtaking panorama of the hills that are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato Wine-growing Landscapes.

Like a real treasure chest, the castle opens up to reveal its gems: the Langhe Museum, the fascinating historical rooms, the precious Cavour relics, the open-air museum "in Vigna" and the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour, one of the oldest in Italy and the first in Piedmont: with over half a century of history, it has been offering wines and spirits from the best wineries in the area since 1967, as well as a wide selection of excellent local food and wine products.
